History:
Born an only child to Josephine and Archibald MacMillan in Scotland, Remy grew up in a very loving and supporting home. His parents, both college educated, and both had jobs that could have been better, but were definitely good enough to leave him wanting for nothing.
He went to public schools and had plenty of friends, although never one in specific. And like many other young boys he enjoyed sports, playing outside, and animals that most girls would try and stay away from. Unlike most other little boys, Rembrant began displaying signs of oddity (which would later be explained to him as being magic). His parents, always supportive of him, didn't mind that he practiced these things at home--but told him to hide what he did from everyone else. Fearing ridicule, he agreed. When he was approached to go to Hogwarts when he turned eleven, his parents had seen enough of his meddling to have little trouble believing it all and whole heartedly encouraged him going.
Remy had never had any trouble fitting in, and the same went with Hogwarts; he was sorted into Hufflepuff and his friendly-easy going demeanor (as well as spot on the quidditch team) left him fairly popular at the school. Along with most everyone in his House, he was close friends with James Potter - which most people thought odd -- but they often had relatable problems with the girls in their lives and turned to each other for equally bad advice.
Georgina Smythe was also among his closest circle of friends, and he carried a long harbored crush for her. In their sixth year, they admitted their love for each other, but because of Georgina's engagement and subsequent issues dealing with the rumors of her bloodlines, nothing ever came of it beside a few amazing kisses.
Out of school, he was recruited to Puddlemere United, and focused very much on his career until the deaths of James and Lily Potter in 1981 (he was twenty one at the time).
Very saddened by the death of one of his best friends, Remy returned home for the funeral -- and much to his surprise, he re-met one Georgina Smythe. Despite the gravity of their reason for being in the same place at the same time once again, they started talking. He found that he still adored nearly everything about her, and fell straight back into love with her. It's only been a few months since, but they've been going on a lot of dates and enjoying each others' company very much.
Occupational History: Out of school, Remy was recruited to Puddlemere United as their seeker. [ Unknown to him, in the future he will be doubly recruited to be on the Irish National Team - well known for his team work skills with players Moran and Mullet. 1995 was his last year to play on either team, due to retirement. ]
Goals: To be the best Quidditch player he can, to make/keep others happy (especially Georgina, who tends to give him Looks about going to practice in the off season).
Appearance:
Remy is very short -- standing at only 5'5. Even with shoes he doesn't look much taller. He's thin, with the muscular build of a swimmer. His hair is dark, and usually worn either very short or shaved. He has the tendency to forget to shave fairly often. His eyes are an almost unnaturally bright blue, and he often gets comments about how large they appear to be.
He's got an amazing smile that's near permanently on his face, and a giggle that's not only amazingly silly, but very infectious.
Because he's muggleborn, he often wears jeans and t-shirts. If he -has- to dress up, he'd rather wear a suit than dress robes.
Special Abilities/Powers: n/a
Personality:
Rembrant is a genuinely nice guy. Not the kind of guy that gets walked on because of it, or the kind who wants to benefit from it. Just nice. He's well mannered and polite, and likes a good conversation just as much as he likes just listening (and he never seems to mind taking a minute out of his time to do either).
He's not shy, but not a flirt either--the only people he hits on are the ones he's actually interested in (although he may or may not say so right away).
Remy is exceptionally mellow and rarely gets angry, and if he does, it passes pretty quickly. He has no real idea of how to hold a grudge-- which is not to say that he always likes people, just that he doesn't hate anyone. If he doesn't like them, he just avoids them as much as possible.
He has a youthful way of thinking that if something doesn't presently seem important that there's not a huge reason to bother.
Strengths: Eating ice cream cones in record time, English football (which he had aspirations to do professionally before he found out he was a wizard and took up Quidditch instead). Is a good listener and a very loyal friend.
Weaknesses: Rarely gets mad about anything even if it sometimes is called for. Is a good listener (both good and bad-- sometimes people just wont stop telling him their problems. He'd consider charging if he wasn't so nice). He's an amazing procrastinator.
Likes: Quidditch. Muggle movies. Photography (looking, not doing). Remy loves weekends-- any day with hardly any obligations make him happy. He enjoys sitting outside, napping under trees, playing with Billy the Rat, and writing to his family. He's also fond of candy (wizard or muggle varieties), and muggle sodas (he still can't seem to get used to pumpkin juice and tends to avoid it.) A good romance story.
Dislikes: People who are mean for no reason, excessive amounts of homework, being underestimated, having to wear a tie, being blown off. Being called short.
Motivation: Wanting to be the best -- he'd like to make his parents proud, even though they don't really understand the wizarding world.
Fears: Losing Georgie again, after not having even seen her for so long. Being on fire (don't ask), being ostracized for his bloodtype.
